Dr. Dr. Najib George Awad is a professor and academic researcher, writer and poet, born and raised in the city of Latakia in Syria. He is Professor of Theology and Eastern Christian Thought and Director of the Ph.D. Program on Islamic Studies and Christian-Islamic Relations at the Hartford School of Religious and Inter-Religious Studies, Connecticut, USA. He holds an MA and Ph.D. degrees in Dogmatic Philosophical Theology from the Royal College, University of London, UK (2007), and a second qualification Ph.D. in Early Islamic Speech Science from the University of Marburg, Germany (2014). He has published many academic studies in refereed journals in Europe, America and Britain. In addition to four poetry books and three research books in Arabic, he published in English
