Reverend Dr. Hadi Ghantous, born in Damascus, Syria. He holds a BA in Human Medicine from Damascus University (1999), a MA in Divinity (2003) and a MA in Holy Theology - Old Testament (2007) from the Near East Theological Seminary in Beirut, and a Ph.D. in Old Testament from the University of Bern, Switzerland (2010) ).
He is currently the Secretary of the Committee for Church and Spiritual Affairs in the National Evangelical Synod in Syria and Lebanon, and the Pastor of the National Evangelical Church in Minyara, Akkar, Lebanon. He is a member of the Biblical Association in the Middle East, a member of the European Association for Biblical Studies, and represents the evangelical family in the Department of Theology and Ecumenical Relations in the Middle East Council of Churches. He has many books, researches and articles in Arabic, English and French in the field of the Bible, theology and dialogue of religions, especially in the field of the Old Testament, the most important of which are The Elisha-Hazael Paradigm and the Kingdom of Israel: The Politics of God in Ancient Syria-Palestine and The Word of God To His People in the Storm: The Old Testament Speaks to Christians in the Middle East Today, Part One and Part Two. |
